Introduction

Synopsis

A secret society of Japanese scientists, Kizu Wo Ou Monotachi, along with the granddaughter of the crewman who armed the hydrogen bomb exploded over Hiroshima, conspire to infiltrate a U. S. nuclear weapons defense program codenamed ARROW (Advanced Radioactive Reductive Orbital Weapon). Together, they plot to compromise the satellite technology capable of locating, identifying, and destroying any nuclear ordinance on earth. If the society succeeds, they intend to use the technology to eliminate all nuclear weapons including those of the United States.
When the CEO of Rubor Corporation is murdered with arrows, two Richmond, Virginia detectives, Ken Gagnon and John Werth, find themselves immersed in a conspiracy of unknown proportion. In the ensuing days, a murder sequence unfolds that impacts three members of their department. Uncertain as to whether the murderer launched a vendetta against the police or something more complex, they struggle against fear and personal suspicions.
The conspiracy leads Gagnon and Werth into the heart of a governmental crisis, involving clandestine agencies and innocent people. Two questions demand their attention: 1) Can they solve the sequence? 2) Who perpetrates the terror?
