Discussion Questions

The author of Terminal Value has set his story in the high intensity world of technology. The protagonists are young, intelligent and ambitious, while the executives of the acquiring company are older, experienced, jaded (and some, unethical). After reading this novel, what elements did you feel worked best to capture the feel of this world?
There are a lot of exciting scenes in the book. Which was your favorite, and why?
Do you think that modern business is as brutal and tough as depicted in this novel? If so, what contemporary examples come to mind?

Notes From the Author to the Bookclub

Note from the author:

Terminal Value is a taut thriller that paints a riveting picture of young entrepreneurs whose dreams of success selling their start-up to a technology company going public are quickly shattered by unethical executives and a heinous murder. While I majored in English Literature, I ended up in business. As an entrepreneur that built and sold my own firm to a pre-IPO technology company, I realized that my personal experience could be the basis of a novel. While Terminal Value is completely fictitious, readers should see this as a cautionary tale of power, greed, and unethical – even criminal – behavior in business.
