Introduction

(Imagine a killer who thinks What is the worst thing anyone has ever done?and then does something far worse! Now imagine four womena police detective, an assistant D.A., a reporter, and a medical examinerwho pursue this killer by sidestepping their bosses and giving each other a hand. The combination adds up to the most exciting thriller series debut since A Is for Alibi. The four women, who call themselves the Womens Murder Club, develop lifelong bonds as they pursue a killer whose twisted imagination has stunned an entire city. Working together, they track down the most terrifying and unexpected killer everbefore a shocking resolution that turns everything about the case upside down. A major new series from James Patterson that will rival the popularity and sales of his Alex Cross novels. Huge TV miniseries tie in: NBC will air a major two-part miniseries based on 1st To Die during sweeps week, May 2001. A movie version of Along Came a Spider will reach theaters early in 2001.

"Great series & pick for any book club! (This is a very popular series)"by Jennifer S. (see profile) 12/16/10

The Women's Murder Club series is great. The women in the club are smart, cool and fun. They help each other not only in their jobs but in their personal lives.

  "You can't go wrong with a Patterson"by Julie S. (see profile) 10/13/07

I've since read 2-5 of the series and all are very good and quick reads. Not much to discuss for a book club book, it's what I call a pleasure book and not literature, but was still enjoyable.
