"A difficult child grows to be a Met star!" by ksimpson (see profile) 11/22/16

This book is an insightful look into the life of a child raised in family violence and his ability to escape the cycle and enter into the world of professional opera. It is an easy read and gives many details of his struggles and his determination to succeed. One must admire the adults in his life who helped him along the way, which was not always an easy task. There are many details about the physicality of singing that I enjoyed, as a singer, but others may find them more difficult to understand. I will definitely follow this young man as he continues his career.
