I really loved this book. Found it fascinating although it was a bit long.

I really enjoyed this book, I loved that it was set in Instanbul in the 1970s, I learnt a lot about Turkey at that time, a country I knew little about. It is a very romantic, moody novel, very drawn out in one part, but I still loved that section. It is the sort of novel that stays with you. I would love to read more by this author. It is a very long book though but I loved it. I would describe it as romantic, dreamy and also realistic, dark, very well written.
