I loved this book. It takes us on a journey to China in the 1920\\\'s -1940\\\'s through the life of Weili (Winnie Louie). She endures so much before coming to the United States. So much that she doesn\\\'t choose to tell her only daughter for so long. The telling of her story is the book. It was very thought provoking and would be good for discussion in book clubs, as it was for ours.
