I put the book away several times after starting it. I just didn’t like the jargon. Since it was for book club, I made myself finish it and it did get better. Then after reading about the author I feel like I might read his next book. He is far more interesting than he comes across in his book. The best thing I read about him was he describes himself as happy.

Story offers a glimpse into a world often unexplored. Life and survival is dependent on loyalty and connections to many unsavory humans. Subculture is dark and values guns, money and violence rather than intelligence. Language is a bit rough but the story is realistic.
