Along with the burning house, Leo and April's marriage went to ashes.

The day the fire started was the day Leo told April he wanted a divorce.

As they run out of their house and save everyone, April's mother texts that they can stay with them.

When they arrive, April's mother tells her that her father has dementia. Can her life get any worse?

We follow April and Leo before and after their marriage and the fire and the lives of her parents and Leo's parents.

There is a lot going on in both families.

It was a bit long and did get a bit confusing with so many characters, but readers who enjoy family history and drama will enjoy this book. 3/5
