This was the worst book I've ever read. I only made it to page 76 before retiring it back to my shelf...and of course emailing an apology to all my book club members in hopes they will not see my monthly book pick as a reflection of my participation going forward. I found Jen Lancaster to be nothing more than an annoying, dependent, lazy woman who lacks the capability to accomplish even the most simplistic tasks such as cooking dinner or getting a new library card. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. BORING!

"Not as good as "Bitter"" by LaurenL (see profile) 01/28/12

I enjoy reading Jen Lancaster's memoirs, but this one is slow, has an uncompelling theme, and ... I'm all for creative grammar when it enhances the author's voice, but using a question mark in the middle of a sentence for emphasis? is a grammatical structure that makes this former journalism major want to rip her hair out.
