An interesting and heart wrenching story along the lines of how a violent crime changes a family and shapes the young witness of her sister's murder. A good read. Could be a good book club discussion of revenge & forgiveness. Not for the faint of heart. I gave it 2 stars only for the subject matter. As the rating question said, "recommend with some reservations". Not everyone will like this book. I thought it was interesting but will not read it again.

"A young girl is witness to the murder of her 2 younger sisters. The books shows how she and each of her Mormon family members deals with this tragedy." by cprahler (see profile) 05/22/08

We agreed that this book was a good read and gave us a chance to examine how forgiveness or lack of it enters into our lives. After the extremely sad and wrenching beginning the story gave way to a good tale.
