New author R. J. Jacobs psychological thriller is a winner read for book clubs.
Set in Nashville, Tennessee, the main character, Emily Firestone is a psychologist who is challenged to manage her bi-polar disorder. Her boyfriend, Paolo Ferrera, is a microbiologist. After a romantic evening in a boat out on a lake in a state park, Paolo is missing. Where is Paolo? Emily's life and mental health start to unravel after Paolo's disappearance as she tries to find out what happened to him. The author is a psychologist and is able to get into the mental state of Emily living day-to-day with bi-polar disorder. The book has lots of twists and turns and this book will keep you guessing until the end.
