After the first 40 pages or so, I was so hooked that I stayed up most of the night. Despite the tough time that befall the heroine, our members found ourselves a little envious of her simple life.

I loved this book. Not much is written about women in this time period. Particularly young women and what they dealt with at the time. Sarah is a survivor, in her daily life and love life. And this is truly how the west was won.
