The parts about the tiger were the most interesting. The other stuff was interesting but at parts tended to slow down the book.

The background story to the environmental plea in the epilogue was interspersed cleverly with asides on sociobiological and anthropological issues. In a way, you find yourself cheering for the tiger, instead of for the people who went after the poachers.
