"There were parts that were page turners but the book was poorly organized." by chkahn12 (see profile) 06/11/10

This book does give you lots to discuss but the first 50 pages are poorly written, the questions in the back of the book are awful, and there are twists and turns in the book that are disjointed and don't flow well.

It was a good idea to do a sequel on what happened with Ben/Sam but the plot was far fetched and didn't get exciting until the end. Some things didn't make sense like why did Vincent go on the very dangerous trip if he couldn't master walking on snow shoes. Time was of the essence for them to rescue Ben's baby and yet we had to hear about how he couldn't master it. Also when the expert told Vincent to stay in the cabin, he didn't. Plus they had cell phones that would only work at certain times??? Didn't totally make sense.

However the part about how Beth coped and looking back on why Vincent turned out the way he did was interesting. That's about it though. At least everything wrapped up nicely and the baby was rescued, and another child found in the making of the film.

I was a little reluctant to read this book, because of the subject and the fact that it was a sequel. However, I found it to be very interesting, well written and enjoyed it so much that I am now reading the first book, The Deep End Of The Ocean.

I liked the ending of the book. In the beginning of the book, way too may names were introduced. If I had just finished reading Deep End of the Ocean, it would not have been as confusing. The end of the book was suspenseful. I found this book hard to believe. How many times in real life would something so horrible happen to the same family! I wish it had been a "page turner", but for me it wasn't.
