A great beach read! I sat down with it one weekend and took in the history of Kailua and its beautiful surroundings. Mr. Hogue does a great job of storytelling---the book feels like you're watching a 1940's movie. A little romance, a little mystery, and a beautiful location with delightful characters makes this a great read!
Excellent historical fiction combined with a love story, Hawaiian mysticism, and personal growth.
Very interesting book. If you want to have information about the old Hawaii and the time of war this is the book that you want to read. Very detail and inspiring book.
