Very well written. Story of a child that grew in a family of "white trash". Interesting because provides insight on poverty, including breaking some conventional stereotypes. Parents are brilliant but chose a life of poverty because cannot face routine and responsibilities. Children learn to take care of each other and sometimes of the parents.
