The story was easy to read, and it was fun to review the recipes at the end of each chapter. It was not a sophisticated book, nor was the writing excellent, but there was something endearing about the story. I especially like the language issues, and how she felt living in Paris.

A good friend of mine loved this book, however I did not. Lunch in Paris could be appreciated by someone who has been to Paris, loves to cook gourmet meals, and enjoys a slow read. Sadly, that is not me. I didn't even finish reading it. I must note that there were some delicious sounding recipes throughout for those of you interested in French Cuisine.

A semi-autobiographical tale of an American girl meeting and eventually marrying her true love in Paris. She includes recipes of food involved in her stories of life in Paris. The book is fun, but not great literature. An easy summer read.

It is an easy read about a woman falling in love in Paris and her life there. The author has a cute and funny writing style. If your club is looking for a light read, this is amazing.
Our book club made a 6 course French meal to celebrate, using the recipes from the book. It was a great way to end the book.

I liked the book but it was nothing truly special. Our book group read it this summer and it made for a quick, easy read. The author brought out some points about living in Paris that I wasn't aware of or had never thought about. We had fun at our meeting since everyone made a dish from one of the recipes in the book. I don't think you have to like to cook or read about food, but it helps.

Long, boring drivel. If it weren't for a New Years resolution to read every book for bookclub...this would have been returned to the librart quickly! This author was not about to make me break my resolution.
