"Read the Diary before you read the book..." by tanya (see profile) 08/14/06

The book was good but it seemed to drag at first and pick up really fast at the end not getting in to detail about points you had been waiting for. It took forever for the inevitable to happen and once it did the author just skidded right past the details. I would recommend reading The Diary of Anne frank first and then this book---it's been so long since i read the diary it may have made group discussion more involved making references to the actual diary.

i enjoyed the book but felt still felt hungry for more. i would have liked for the author to have elaborated a little more in certain areas. i did feel the title was a little misleading because the author really didnt dive into that aspect of it. perhaps reading the diary of anne frank may have been a good refresher. other than that it was a good quick read.
