Just way to simple and not much to talk about. The end was boring and not as creative or exciting as it could have been. The initials AMC was way to simple and the fact that the drugs are all over the town it was worst then a CSI television show. So many signs and no real mystery or suspense.

Some discussion questions we came up with:

Is the name of the book Christmas Cookie Murder a good title?

What would you do if your friend wanted to pass out pamphlets for a cause at your home party? Would you throw them out or keep them out?

Is the competition between parents over what school their children attend healthy?

How would you handle an out of order bathroom during a party?

What was the significance of the ceiling caving in at the cookie exchange?

Do firemen really take things from scenes of fires?

Why wasn’t the fire investigated? Who started it?

Was it fair to expel Elizabeth?

Would you keep the news that your child is smoking pot from your husband?

Did you feel the initials of AMC a little to obvious that it matched Aurelie’s name? Were you intrigued when it ended up being the initials of a hiking organization?

How did you feel once Tom Scott’s image was tarnished?

Is it okay to double the recipe on cookies?

Who wants to volunteer to have our Christmas Cookie Exchange this year?

There was not much to this book. Very light. I would have liked more of a mystery. I'm giving the author another try by reading the next book in the series. I did enjoy the recipes at the end of the book.
