Great book. Very easy to read. I believe that most people could relate to it.
A sad little story about growing up and learning what life's treasures really are.
This was a good story about being thankful for what you have, and inspiring by the epiphany the narrator has, but it was written at a very low level, and i could feel where different parts seemed written by the different authors. I thought that the characterization of the teenage boy was spot on, but really didn't have much to talk about at bookclub about it.
Not a new story. It was a repeat of many Christmas stories with new names.
We enjoyed the message, but were disappointed at the conclusion.
I knew nothing about Glenn Beck before reading this book, and I still don't know much about him. Some of our group have quite strong opinions about him. BUT, if you can get by your opinions far enough to read this book, I thought it was great! If you are looking for a cozy feel good read for Christmas this is it. Try it!
Couldn't get past my feelings toward Glenn Beck. I tryed.
