I expected a lot from it but the story plot was weak and the prose was not engaging.

There's alot to discussive with this title. Our book group has two sessions: one group didn't like it due to the translation, the gory situation. and the characters. While the other session really enjoyed the book. In both cases there was many subjects to cover from mental illness, the church, treatment of women, Nordic crime novels.
