Laughter, yummy food, beer, wine, baby announcements, talk of weddings, and good friends- it couldnâ??t get any better! Oh yeah, the book was good too! The book earned ratings between 7 and 9.5. All agreed she was an excellent writer ( a step above some of our other authors) and enjoyed how she changed dialect and lifestyles per time period. (Unusual to have 3 time periods). We also agreed she wove an amazing story around a painting! A few people thought there were too many characters. We discussed Jess and Theo’s careers, relationship and initial attraction- she loved his hip flexors! We discussed racial bias, and the abrupt ending that violence and /or death brings. Overall a great discussion!
