This book blends archaeology with criminal investigation. The characters are well developed and interesting. Griffith's description of Norfolk is beautiful ~ "Norfolk is a desolate and beautiful place. It is often said that its landscape is the sky because the flat, marshy terrain offers a spectacular view of the wide, ever-changing sky." A great debut and I would read the next in the series.
