I loved this book! Evelyn was a such a strong, powerful character, even though she was a woman in male dominated old Hollywood. She was flawed, but you still had to love her. She lived unapologetically. You rooted for her. Her character was so well developed. There was so much dimension to this book. I never guessed the twist at the end.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was one of the best books I’ve read in a very long time, I couldn’t put it down. A story with so many twists.
Taylor Jenkins Reid is such an amazing writer, she keeps you turning the pages until you’re finished with the book. The protagonist, Evelyn Hugo is such an incredible character that you will love but also hate because of her poor decisions. I found myself so invested in her life story. Every character in the book is interesting and does not leave you disappointed. The twist at the end was surprising and tied it all together very well!! Loved it

This is a great book club! I didn’t want to put the book down. Each husband, has its own story and opens your mind to how every love story has its ups and downs. This book while being easy to read, it also makes you think about different relationships and the struggles one faces. Sacrificing your wishes for the love of another.
Honestly, my heart broke so much for Evelyn. The ending tore me apart.

We all enjoyed the book.....and truly believe getting to the top in Hollywood is a real grind.
From the beginning, there is this huge sense of tension built between Monique and Evelyn since one half of the pair remains in the dark to why she is chosen for this incredible opportunity. In the end when the secret is revealed, the scene is fraught with so much emotion that I both gasped and cried. The main narrative has the reader living through Evelyn’s history which is a tangled web between her relationship with love of her life intertwined with these marriages born from convenience. It is all so beautifully done. I loved this book.
I enjoyed this book and can’t wait for Netflix to make a movie of it.
Evelyn Hugo is a Hollywood icon from the 1950’s - 2017. She has hired an unknown writer Monique Gran, to write her authorized autobiography to be published after her death. Monique has no idea why she was chosen but accept this opportunity. The interviews take only a few weeks and Evelyn states that not only will all of Monique’s questions be answered, but by the end Monique will come to hate Evelyn.
The author brings to life the glitz and glamour of old Hollywood in a riveting story.
My all time favourite book. Over a year after reading it it’s still my all number 1. TJR is an amazing story teller.
I thought this would be a fun book about Hollywood and their above average lifestyle but this was far from it. Instead it was about a secret life disguised by Hollywood antics.

This was easily the best book I’ve ever read. I don’t know why it took me so long to finally read it.
Basically I can’t even express how and why I loved this book. It was literally perfect. The topics it covered are topics that I am passionate about and the way it presented and expounded on them is one of the many reasons why I loved him so much.
I already knew that there’s more that a type of love but this book just made me realize that you’re soulmate it’s not necessary your partner.
PS: There’s only one quote because I was about to put like the whole book (it was THAT good).
