I grimaced more often than I laughed, sometimes because of taxidermy, and other times because of Brynn and her magical hold over Milo and Jessa. The enduring gloom didnâ??t stop me from reading, but at times I felt ladened with Jessaâ??s internal battles and constant attempts to avoid feelings of vulnerability.
