This book was well written. Instead of chapters... the book was written in phases and explores different aspects of the authors life. Her navigation of her mother dying , child birth and relationships while flashing back to childhood memories was creative. I loved the quotes throughout the book and how she highlighted some cultural differences between her life near South Africa and America.
