"13 women share a necklace that enriches their lives more than they could have imagined." by lizmmanning (see profile) 09/15/08

This is a glorious and ispirational book. It's not about "the necklace". It's so much more - belonging to a great group of women who support and encourage one another, while bringing joy and possibilities into each woman's life. It's so relevant to our experiences as woman and to the men we've loved and have loved us!! One of my favorite books of all time.

"Social experiment of women sharing diamond necklace." by margitolsen (see profile) 03/10/09

It provided excellent discussion points. All of us could identify with characteristics of at least one woman. The experiment wasn't really about the necklace but how it changed their lives. At our book club meeting we all brought a necklace and it's story to "show and tell." Great fun.

I found the writing rather boring and repetitive. There was no connection for me to many of the caharacters and found them, or at least the author's presentation of them, shallow. In theory, the experiment was a good one.

"Thank god it was a quick read" by wcrispe (see profile) 04/10/10

No real story line, was not enjoyable, very boring how this necklace affected these women's lives.. sorry a snooze

"The Necklace-Transformers" by AliceB (see profile) 08/24/10

I liked the premise of following the transformation of women as they shared "Juliet". However, except for a few cases, the author failed to exhibit this. The majority of the women involved came off as incredibly shallow, boring and uninspiring.

Very readable, interesting read and made for a lot of discussion. The "sorority" and "friendship" that came from sharing made for good discussion. What else could bring people together? Everyone liked the charity benefits, etc.
