In this sequel to "The girl with the dragon tattoo", the author continues to thrill by creating a crime thriller that is unpredictable to the end. Intelligently crafted reading that oozes with suspense and intrigue. I cannot wait to read the last of the trilogy!!!

A page-turner that will have you on the edge of your seat. However, the ending disappointed as it was merely a way to separate this second in a series from the third and final installment. Also, Larsson's depiction of women (who were either sluts or lesbians) was truly laughable. Despite its flaws, I'll will read the final book in the trilogy to see how it turns out.

While a very fun read, this book has a number of flaws; both in terms of plot and character development. Our club didn't think that the author really "gets" women. Still, I'll probably read the third installment just to see what happens next to the main character.

This book lived up to and exceeded the first book (The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo). We can hardly wait for the final book coming out in mid-summer. I wish I had the dedicated friends that she had and the twists and turns kept us on the edge of our seats and could hardly stand to put the book down.

A murder mystery which points to Lisbeth Salandar, our heroine from Girl with The Dragon Tattoo, as the murderess. Mikael, is instrumental in clearing her name but the seedy side of traficking in human flesh is uncovered. A fast paced adventure that will shock and entertain you every moment.

We definitely liked this book and all are looking forward to the next one by Mr. Larsson.

"Not Really a Book Club Read" by AdinaP (see profile) 12/27/10

My least favorite of his three books. Most of us enjoyed them, but weren't sure why. The characters are compelling, but that's about it. The writing is very, very simple. This is a great book on a trip or airplane, but as a book club discussion? No.

I had a hard time putting the book down. I didn't guess the twists and turns of the plot ahead of time. Now I can't wait to read the third in the trilogy.

I liked The Girl Who Played with Fire better than I liked The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Still I highly recommend reading the books in the order written, as it adds depth to the characters.

Every bit as exciting as the first book...even more so! I'm holding off on the third as I don't want it to end!

"Good solid follow up to The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" by mybcjac24 (see profile) 06/23/12

Enjoyed this book but not as much as The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. But still a page turner to the very end.

"I was surprised" by mpaniaguatej (see profile) 11/29/15

I enjoyed the book and the story line as much as the Larsson's trilogy. The author did a difficult and good job portraying the essence of all the characters.
