I liked the book because it showed the love that was handed down through the generations and the bind of love between the two sisters. Also I liked it because they had a great love of nature and their land. It was a good healthy book showing the lives of two sisters that were very different from one another but still loved one another through all their troubles of all kinds.
I liked the book. I hadn't read a lot about that part of the country. I learned more about the life of people who lived in mining towns. Sometimes the characters in the book needed to be more believable. Overall I enjoyed reading this book.
