This book takes you into the lives of several generations of farming women in Iowa and into the life of a woman who follows her missionary husband to China. The Author, Molly Paterson lived in China and writes informatively about China before the Boxer Rebellion and then weaves the story into modern-day China women. This book has a beautifully written, heartfelt scene between life-long friends: one of them dying and the other caring for her.
