Overall our bookclub felt it fell short. Angela as the narrative fell flat and she also lied on things while telling her story. If the main character is the narrator, you are telling the true story. She purposely mislead the reader which we Blame the author for that.
Jason was not developed enough nor knew what was going on in his mind except for What Angela was providing. We guessed most of what had happened in the past .
I had a hard time sympathizing with Angela because of her character. You knew that she had been traumatized when she was younger but fell short of continuing sympathy for her.
Corrine as the detective was the character we all liked. Maybe future books, she will be the main character.
