Forty ears ago in the town of St. Medard’s Bay, Alabama, there was a devasting hurricane that not only did enormous damage, but also the body of a politician’s son was found dead. It was later determined he was murdered. His teenage mistress was put on trial, but her guilt could not be proved. She moved away. Now forty years later she is back, with a writer, and together they will try and clear her name once and for all.
