This is a multigenerational story of a family focusing on the women in the family. Starting off in Puerto Rico and moving to the Midwest. Over several decades the tale follows these women as they make their way in the world along with the trials and tribulations of familial bonds.

A well written story, however I prefer my stories to read from start to finish and not jump back and forth in time. I feel when an author does this the momentum of the the story lose some of its effectiveness.
