This book can open eyes to the world of mental illness. The author is able to do so in a funny, poignant way. At time you will be laughing out loud or until you have tears running down your face and at other times you will think how absurd.

The author is gifted in so many ways. I was laughing one minute and in tears the next. As someone who suffers with depression, although not to the extent the author does, and mine manifests in different ways, I could relate to so many of her situations.

This memoir is a stark and honest account of the authors struggle with mental illness. Her stories help to normalize anxiety and depression and make way for open and vulnerable talk on the subject. One of the most profound and simple facts is that one is not alone in this illness and it provides insight for loved ones friends and family members.
