Interesting story that created a lot of discussion points for book club.
I remember I had to read this book in high school and I liked it then. This time it was much more difficult to read. I am not alone in this...most of my book club members also had difficulty with the language and remembering who was who since it did have a lot of characters. We did end up having a great discussion so it was worth the struggle to finish the book on time!
Our book club had various reactions to this book with ratings that ranged from 3 to 5 stars. One thing we all agreed on is that in the end we are glad we read it.
Our Book group reaction to this book was varied from 2 to 5 stars. It was difficult because of some of the subject matter (murdered children) but it was also interesting and insightful about police procedures and interrogation.

This book was a great selection for book club. So much to talk about and discuss. I liked the characters so much I was disappointed about the ending...the story just seemed to come to an abrupt stop.

This book our club rated 3.5 stars. We really enjoyed reading about behind the scenes in the film industry that was in this story. We found it different then then usual Dick Francis Books - all about the horse industry.
Anderson Cooper and Gloria Vanderbilt are really interesting people.

Our book club received advanced copies of this book. WOW what a story. It deals with anorexia. It is a difficult subject matter but the book was so well written that it is easy to read from start to finish. I can honestly say I learned a lot from reading this novel.

11/8/2023 - book club selection. For this second reading I listened to the audiobook and read the book at the same time. It did not improve my opinion of the book. Still just OK. Some people in book club LOVED the stories and others did not. It did cause a great amount of discussion so it is a great selection for book clubs....especially those like us that live in Florida.
