My Reviews

Tell No One by Harlan Coben

Dramatic, Interesting, Adventurous
A good mystery but the amount of characters made it hard to follow at times

This book was a true mystery! If you're good at following a storyline with a lot of characters than this is the book for you. I found it hard to follow because of that but I felt the surprise ending made up for it.

Insightful, Dramatic, Brilliant
This book is such a wakeup call!

We just don't realize how good we have it here in the states until we emmerse ourselves in something like this novel. It may be fiction but it's based on many true historical things about Afganistan. I thought the characters and story line were brilliant. I was sucked in as soon as I read the first page. However, some disturbing instances may make the book difficult for some to read.

Blue Water: A Novel by A. Manette Ansay

A couple's son is killed in a car accident in a small town...

This book was very difficult to get through. It didn't hold my attention and I felt no connection or sympethy towards any of the characters.

Fun, Adventurous, Inspiring
A great quick read that touches any animal lover

Although I felt that this book did not warent much discussion for the book club I did feel that is was an awesome read. Touching, with parts that make you laugh and parts that make you cry.

Insightful, Fun, Interesting
A novel writen by a journalist who perhaps should stick with what he does best

This 'novel' had no linier story. It was a constant disapoinment... Just as I thought something was about to happen nothing did. I felt as though there was no begining, middle or end.

Fun, Inspiring, Optimistic
A light hearted, quick read that makes you consider what important things you've done in your life

This was a great read! I was immediatly sucked in and finished the book in 3 days (my average is 2 weeks). I also loved that this book did not have a typical, predictable ending.

The Echo Maker: A Novel by Richard Powers

Boring, Slow, Confusing
The Echo Maker

I'm not sure how this novel won an award. It was very slow and inconsistant. I did not feel that the story line was interesting. A good portion of the first chapter (which was very long) is about birds. I wouldn't recomend this book unless you're trying to fall asleep.

The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks

Slow, Romantic, Boring
The Lucky One; Nicholas Sparks

Although this book was short it did take me a while to read it. I felt that the story was slightly predictable. If you want a typical romance it would be a recomended read, otherwise it's nothing exciting.

The Shack by William P. Young

Book Club Recommended
Insightful, Inspiring, Life Changing
Very Spiritual

If you are a spiritual person this is the book for you! I enjoyed it but felt that there were some slow parts in the middle of the book. I would recommend this book because it does provoke great discussion.

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

Book Club Recommended
Romantic, Interesting, Beautiful
A real page turner

I'm not the type of person to re-read a book but I would make an exception for this one. I could not put it down. I felt that the story was gripping and romantic. A must read for anyone, bookclub or not!
