I enjoyed this book a lot. It's definitly not a realistic novel but I thought it was imaginative. I was able to relate to the characters. It made me laugh and cry. I couldn't put it down!
Everyone in our club really liked this book. It was interesting and allowed for a lot of good discussion.
We loved this book! One member said it was her favorite book that we have read so far! It was a great mystery without an unnecesary love story thrown in. Kept us guessing the entire time. Definitly not a predictable book!
This book kept my interest from cover to cover. Some of the things that happened to her made my jaw drop! It is a story of survival. Her parent’s lack of motivation made her determined to be successful. It made me realize how great I had it growing up! It is a very well written and intriguing book. I was rooting for her throughout the entire story.
I thought this book was lacking a plot with substance. It reminded me more of a book I would read when I was 13. My book club read it and not one of us liked it. It was full of horrible cliche's. It was not interesting. If I wasn't reading it for our book club, I would not have finished it.
I did not enjoy this book. It was very slow to get through. Three of the five members of our club disliked it and two thought it was just OK. I had a hard time relating to the characters. I felt more of an intro was needed. The death of the child happened too early in the story before I had a chance to get attached to the family or the child. I was not emotionally involved in this story at all.
This book was very cute! Not very deep but it was a quick read and very cute. If you are a dog lover, you will love this book! I'm not a dog lover but definitly enjoyed it anyway...

This isn't your typical memoir. It wasn't a cohesive story about his life. It was little anecdotes that weren't very interesting. I felt there was no purpose or direction throughout the entire book. It didn't have a real ending either. It was very disapointing.
I liked this book but not nearly as much as some of her other books. It brought up some good discussion points in our club however, so I think it is a good book club book.
I would not recommend this book for discussion. I thought the characters lacked depth and the storyline did not keep my interest. The ending was disapointing to me as well.

The book was OK. It was an easy read but somewhat predictable. The discussion questions in the reading guide made for some good discussions. Our book club was split down the middle. Half of us liked it and half of us didnt.
This book is not worth anyone's time. I didn't even finish the book. There was no plot at all. There was no cohesive story, it was a bunch of rambling. Very disapointing. Nobody in our club liked it. In fact, nobody even finshed reading it. Please don't waste your time!

When I first read the description about this book, i thought it would be a little depressing being about cancer. But it was a very uplifting story. Everyone in our club liked it.
I liked the book and it kept my interest. A lot of the girls in the club thought it dragged and they had a hard time getting through it.
This book was funny. I liked her a lot but it got a little slow towards the middle. THe begginning was great, I was laughing out loud. I thought it was interesting that someone would do that for an entire year and it brought up some good discussion with the questions at the end which is why I would recommend it.
I wouldnt recommend this book for book clubs. Not much there for discussion. It was an easy read but very predictable and did not have too deep of a plot.
