My Reviews
This is a book that touches your heart and makes you feel each character\\\'s heartache and love. I loved the poetic description of the island and I would recommend this book to any book club.
The book looks at assisted suicide from different perspectives opening ones mind and heart to a topic that needs to be addressed.
The fact that the main character mourned over a would be love (someone she barely spoke to) for a year was unconvincing to me. She seem to be a weak person until the end of the book where she uncharacteristically took on every problem and whirled her way to a solution. Too long, too unbelievable. I liked the idea of the marigold scarf tying two separate tragedies together. For me this book was just ok.
