It was interesting from an historical view point. But the story or resilience and survival of the children then was amazing. The weaving of the lives of Molly and Vivan provided the reader with many emotions. They each provided the other with something they needed to complete themselves.
Learned some interesting things about Edna St. Vincent Millay. It took a while to get into the story but then it was good.
Good story that many wives can probably identify with at some part of the book. But it is hard to believe that a husband can be soooo totally unaware/uncaring about his wife's happiness.
