A disabled man writes about his grandmother's life

A man with a crippling disability has him in a wheelchair. To keep himself occupied, he decides to write a story about his grandmother's life. He writes using the letter's written between his grandmother and her friend and guesstimates alot of what takes place during her marriage to his grandfather. It really gives a good depiction of what life was like out in the west back in the 1800's.

This book was a very challenging book to read - if you are the "literary" type and like something that is challenging to read, then this story is one you should not miss!

Chocolat: A Screenplay by Robert Nelson; Hallstrom, Lasse; Harris, Joanne Chocolat Jacobs

Woman and child move to a small French village and open a chocolate shop

We thought the book overall was just okay - not a whole lot to talk about - we liked how the author wrote in the first person. It was a light uncomplicated book - it was not a deep enough novel to satisfy our needs for discussion.
