My Reviews
Most of us had read this book in high school. . . and were glad to revisit it as adults because of our current perspectives.
Our group just couldn't get into this slow moving rather unbelievable story. Someone entering 'the world' and her physical maturity might find it more engaging.
Our group voted just over 3 stars for this book and talked for a long time about it so I rounded up. We felt it caused us to think about a lot of things - especially relationships. It did seem a little formulaic which we attributed to a first-novel. And we talked about it extensively - the key thing about a book group book!
