My Reviews
I rooted for Cheryl the whole way! What an inspiration!!!
This book was beautifully written with never ending drama and explicitly portrayed characters with whom I felt as though I knew by the end of the book. Very hard to put it down.
felt like I knew the characters with the author's superb ability to humanize them. Difficult to read through some of the descriptions of the torturing of Jews during WW 2 but was necessary to build the characters.
I found this story about Willie Sutton to be especially interesting given that it was based on a real life criminal. I found Sutton to be a brilliant, humorous soul who did what he needed to get by.
A very moving story which delves into mother / daughter relationships and how they deeply affect us.
