Joe Queenan seems to be, and writes this book as such, a cantankerous old codger. He is grumpy about certain books, book clubs, book store owners, and others who read books...BUT! he does share his affection for, and dedication to, reading books of all genres, and makes some excellent suggestions for future choices for this reader. Don\\\'t let his querulous nature stop you from, at the very least, scanning this book for its sometimes quite funny take on reading.
