I really loved this book. I enjoyed it the entire time and thought it was an easy read. All of the characters were enjoyable and I loved how Lily really seemed to grow up and how her relationships changed. Definitely recommend this one.
I really really enjoyed this book and it led to a great discussion. Soooooo many things happened and all along the way, I felt like I was right there. I loved how it was written and couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. I thought 'snot locker' was hysterical and it was the first time in a while that I laughed out loud at a book! Everyone should read this book.
When I read the last sentence and shut the book I was so mad that I had wasted my time even reading it! I hated the way it was written and the ending, along with the rest of the book, was a total let down. Actually, I would almost recommend it only for the discussion afterwards - we talked about this one forever.
I thought this book was very interesting and I learned a lot about the Chinese culture. I liked that the most about the book - the foot binding, the roles of women and men within the household, and the different relationships. I thought the storyline itself was okay.
I'd give it 6 stars if I could! I absolutely loved this book. It made me think for days and days after I had finished reading it. I was soooo upset at the end of the book and I couldnt stop crying! Really loved it and it was such a great story. It really raised my awareness on leukemia. The author did an amazing job.
I loved this book. Everything was so fascinating - I loved learning about the circus, the animals, the rubes, the train - everything! I thought Jacob was wonderful, past & present. Really great all around - definitely recommmend this one to everyone!
This book was the worst - don't read it..don't even look at it!! I feel bad to be mean but it really was horrible.
This book was terrific. One of the best books I've read in a long time. It had me hooked from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book.
I felt like the author could have taken this book so many places but it just never happened. Very disappointing.
