Insightful, Dramatic, Brilliant
A good look at a commonly misunderstood cultureAn eye-opener. This story made the violent intolerance and corruption of the Taliban very real to me. It also pointed out that the Middle East is not just one culture, but a collection of unique cultures—just as the USA is made up of distinct regions, each with their own sub-set of customs, traditions and accents.

Informative, Adventurous, Insightful
We had a lively, in-depth discussion. Really enjoyed it!Many of us in our group had fathers who were directly involved with World War II. It brought a subject that has rarely been discussed to light. The hardships and difficult choices the characters had to make were mind boggling.
