It's amazing that the general public is not really aware of the trials endured by those individuals who were "imprisoned" during past wars.........seems like a necessary evil for protection of the masses.
I had difficulty getting into the book. If I had been living at the time written, I think I would have scoured the pages for all the details about the traveling experiences and descriptions provided.
Now I want to read about the other 3/4 wives. Interesting to read about the man behind the words!
each individual will experience different emotions when reading...could be too fanciful or predictable for some but realistic for others...
The short stories left you wanting for more of the story so left the imagination working--a good thing! Appreciated the some of the final stories completing the first ones....
