After reading Fall of Giants, I was hooked. Following the lives of these characters into the the 2nd World War was frightful and compelling. The plot was layered with historical events affecting each character. I learned so much about this brutal time in history by seeing it through the eyes of world citizens. I most appreciated that the story emphased that the German citizens were victims of the Nazi Regime, too. It's a wonderfully well-researched and written book.
