Major Pettigew's Last Stand

This book is well written with words worthy of quoting as they are insightful. While the author brings up topics worth pondering there are lots of funny scenes. I highly recommend this book.

This book raises many issues, midwifery in the 1920's, labor unions, racism. It is easy reading and hooks you immediately.
