Generally we all enjoyed the book and we had a great involved discussion about it. Room brings up lots of current day happenings and gets the group talking on many different levels. The best thing about the book is that is was written from Jack's perspective. This made it readable and enjoyable.
This is an amazing tale of Louie and how it handled life and everything it threw at him. It made for great conversation and it was nice to learn about WWII from the Japan front rather than only the European arena.
Reading this book made everyone in the group think more about being happy and trying to bring more joy to their lives and to others. We all realized that when we are happy it's contagious.
This is a believable fantasy with characters that you fall in love with. The book was brilliantly written and the descriptions of the circus, characters and attractions were amazing.
Ava won the hearts of our group and kept us reading to the end. You need to like fantasy to enjoy this book.
Cheryl's use of language and words is amazing. Her sorrow at the loss of her mother is so profound that she hikes the PCT to reconnect with herself. She is amazingly blunt about her own indiscretions and she sets out on a journey a little naïve of what she will encounter. A great read and makes you want to put on your hiking boots.
This narrative was boring and slow. Everyone in our group was disappointed by this selection and we only selected it because our club recieved the copies for free.

This book is a true delight to read. It is a wonderful story of a young boy growing up and the wishes of his mother and father. The effects that Ultima has on is life are amazing. A truly beautiful story.
Really interesting the family dynamics that were seen throughout the story. Nicely tied together at the end.
The characters develop slowly and the storyline takes a bit of time, but overall the book is a success if you continue reading.
