The writing style of this book is different than any book I’ve ever read. At first it’s a little confusing but as you ease into the book you adjust to the style and it becomes easier to follow. It’s an interesting perspective into life within Hitler’s Germany. I didn’t find that I emotional connected with the characters as you would expect to in such a heavy novel. I wouldn’t say this is a favorite but overall I enjoyed the Book Thief.
